Thesis: Exploration of Mars and sending individuals to Mars should not be pursued in today’s society because of high cost, human dangers, and environmental dangers, all of which prove few or no benefits due to the recoverable environment of Earth, and the unattainable colonization of Mars.
Abstract of Research: The idea of exploring Mars causes an uproar from many individuals and groups of passionate individuals that hope to see people on Mars. Or, in this case, preventing people from going to Mars. The first of several arguments posed by professionals in the cost required. Another concern is the apparent dangers entailed when planning a quest to the red planet. One of the largest concerns is the benefits that will be reaped (or lack of) from exploring and sending astronauts to Mars. Although many passionate individuals believe that Mars should be inhabited, those in favor of preserving Earth's atmosphere disagree and urge that the population of the world takes action and "cleans up" the atmosphere. The outcome of humans actually landing on Mars is unimaginable, but if man or woman makes his or her way to the uninhabited planet, they should indeed send enough humans to create a population. This topic is debated every day on Earth, but the outcome and results of sending humans to Mars will remain unfathomable until someone or a group of passionate individuals make the unfortunate decision to send humans to the red planet. The idea of sending individuals to Mars intrigued me because I am interested in space; however, I urge that Mars exploration is too far-fetched to actually happen.
