Seeking thrill and sending humans to Mars is entertainment to the human race; however, there are issues on Earth that must be dealt with first in order to ensure tranquility. With that being said, sending humans to Mars is not beneficial because there are evident problems on Earth that cannot be avoided by going to Mars.
